When you’re strolling down the grocery aisle, most of the time you will stick to the brands you know and love. But when you are considering going for something new, the label is everything. Whether it’s cookies, sauces or beer, what the customer sees first directly impacts whether they will consider buying it. Once you’ve got them to try it, your product can do the rest of the talking. You just need to get your foot in the door with a great label design.
We recently redesigned the labels for EADS’ Down Home Barbecue Sauce, making it more visually appealing and making it really look as good as it tastes. Check out the before (left) and after (right):
Without losing that down home feel, the redesigned label on the right makes it much easier to see that it’s the Competition Blend and that the owner takes their BBQ sauce seriously (making it more likely to be seriously good). Which would you rather toss into your grocery cart?
