Client Spotlight: HealthSPORT By the Bay
What started as one gym has grown into a group of premier health clubs with five locations in Humboldt County, the newest of which has expanded this summer to better serve the community.
The original HealthSPORT By the Bay in Old Town Eureka had its limitations, which is why CEO Susan Jansson took the opportunity to move just a few doors down to accommodate its growing membership. Built in 1946 for the M. Vonson Feed Company, the historic site at 411 First Street in Eureka is now the new home of HealthSPORT By the Bay. With original redwood laminated walls, high vaulted ceiling and an open floor plan, it was the perfect spot to relocate.
“The transformation of the site has been amazing!” Susan Jansson said. “The club is filled with natural light and we’ve created space for members to do group exercises, take classes, and meet with trainers.”
All of HealthSPORT’s locations are focused on providing the atmosphere and resources for people of all ages to pursue and achieve their health goals.
