New Fit1 Gym to Open in Southern Auburn in June
With the grand opening of Fit1 on June 1, Southern Auburn residents soon won’t have to drive across town just to hit the gym.
Owner Susan Jansson and Manager Cara Steinmann will cut the ribbon at the grand opening of the new gym at noon with the Auburn Chamber of Commerce. Jansson said Fit1 will serve Southern Auburn as a 24/7 neighborhood gym, but it will take a different approach to meeting the needs of its members. Fit1’s focus is to help members meet their health and fitness goals.
Specialized trainers are available for Fit1 members to utilize, so members who work with the trainers can get better results from working out. The new Auburn gym also has a flexible membership plan that can be month to month or annual, so more people in the area can take advantage of its convenient location and hours.
“The transformation of the site has been amazing!” Jansson said. “The gym is filled with natural light and we’ve created space for members to do group exercises, take classes and meet with trainers.”
Fit1 isn’t Jansson’s first health-oriented enterprise. She previously developed five HealthSPORT clubs in Humboldt County, a training program for personal trainers, and four Snap clubs in Southern Oregon.
“My dream is to help the world get fit,” Jansson said. “It may just be a small corner of the world, but it makes a difference.”
