Humboldt Gymnastics Team Scores Well at Gypsy Invitational
These are the Level 5 competitors who placed in the Floor Routine, including HealthSPORT teammates Mackenzie Hall in first place and Katie Hurst in fourth place.
The HealthSPORT Gymnastics team went to its first meet on Sept. 14 and came home with high scores and several medals!
The six-person HealthSPORT Gymnastics team went to the Gypsy Invitational in Concord, Calif, and had a great first meet. The level 3’s started the day off, and Anna Foy scored a 32.2 in the All Around category in what was her very first competition ever. Cadence Lommori also did well with a All Around score of 32.875. Abbi Diamond finished with 4th place on floor with a 9.025 and an All Around score of 34.6, qualifying her for the state competition in November.
Our one and only level 4 Saige Grundman received a 4th place medal on Beam with a 8.775 and an All Around score of 32.825.
Lastly, our level 5’s finished the day off strong with Katie Hurst medaling in Vault, Floor and All Around. Mackenzie Hall also received a 1st place medal for her floor routine and medaled in Vault.
Even coach Andrea Knight received an award for being the best dressed gypsy. The next meet is Good Vibrations Invitational in Redding on Saturday.
