South Fork High Alumni Association to Launch Website
The newly formed South Fork High School Alumni Association has partnered with the Strategic eMarketing team to build a website that will serve as a critical component of future fundraising events and as the main contact point for alumni.
South Fork High School in Miranda, CA, is a rural high school in Southern Humboldt County, nestled in the Northern California redwoods. The South Fork High School Alumni Association is a division of the Southern Humboldt Schools Foundation that was recently created to do more than just keep former classmates in touch — it will use the future website to centralize and formalize donations to the school in a way that will help raise funds smarter, not harder, said Colleen O’Sullivan of the alumni group.
“The association has been formed out of necessity as funding is continually reduced for schools, and being a rural school, it is difficult for the school to maintain and keep certain enrichment programs,” O’Sullivan said.
The South Fork High School Alumni Association is especially interested in supporting programs that students love but are often victim to budget cuts, such as art, music, drama and athletics.
When completed, the South Fork High School Alumni Association’s website at http://southforkalumni.org/ will be uncluttered and easy to navigate. By implementing search engine optimization strategies and adding content all about South Fork High School, the association will be easy for former students, faculty and all those who are a part of the school to find the website and join.
