Turning a good idea into a solid business plan is no easy feat, especially when it comes to environmental endeavors or social ventures. That is why Greenway Partners opened The Link in Arcata — it’s a business incubator with a Humboldt County spin. The Link focuses on aiding the creation of community-focused concepts and providing resources and direction to help those ideas come to fruition.

The Link is part idea laboratory and part innovation driver for those businesses and nonprofits in their early stages. It offers office and work spaces open to all types of entrepreneurs, and there is a space for social mixers, private business events and conferences. Events open to the public will explore local assets to help inspire new ideas and increase community engagement, and other events exclusively for members will center on how to make their ideas a reality.
